Slide scanners are already in use in many major hospitals. Slide scanners scan the samples and save them to a computerised system, saving precious time for the pathologists. Also enabling easy peer consulting and ease view of the specimen, counting cells and measuring sizes of suspicous areas. The next step is Artificial Intelligence (AI) that will find suspicous areas and single them out for the pathologist, and further down the road, a diagnosis made by AI.
